My plan to keep you updated on Extra Life and other fundraising activities
Or how I am learning to not lean on twitter for fundraising messaging
Embarking on a new way to connect for fundraising updates
First of all I want to thank any and all of you who have supported any of my fundraising efforts in the past. It is important work to me:
1. Why this, why now
As you may know, twitter in its current form just doesn’t work. In its former form at the very least you know that your messaging was reaching those who wanted it. In order to do my very best for the charities I support I needed to explore options for communications.
2. What am I trying to build here
I just want a way to keep everyone that wishes to continue to support upcoming fundraising events such as Extra Life a much more stable and hopefully easier way to stay updated. An email newsletter seems the most straightforward, “old school” way to accomplish that.
3. So if you so choose…
Subscribe to my newsletter. It will only be used to communicate my future fundraising efforts starting with the upcoming Extra Life event in November. Call it an experiment in keeping everyone up to date and we’ll go from there.
